Hello, nice people, I am trying to save my shop, Atelier Charmant, by any means possible. The shop sells interesting antique and vintage items for the home, as well as my own upcycled creations, and craft from artisans in the area. My faithful and growing clientele make it a point to shop here every year, and many of them purchase from me via my Instagram account, ateliercharmant .
My business was growing consistently until Covid hit last year. Because I didn't fit government criteria, I received no aid to help me through this collapse. I have used all my assets and received help from friends and family just to meet my basic needs. Now, a year later, today, I owe 3000 euros to my (up until now)patient landlord, 1000 to friends who've loaned money. I need 3000 to buy stock (which should bring in twice that in revenue) for my increasingly empty shop. The first item, the past due rent, is about to put me on the sidewalk. Without a roof over my head, the rest is impossible. I can and have scraped through everything else with wits and a good attitude.
Your support will help me over this hurdle, so that I can continue to offer a charming shopping experience in Monpazier, designated one of France's Most Beautiful Villages. People have said Atelier Charmant is "the nicest shop in the village." I am honored that people think so. More important, I want others who follow me on social media to understand that with vision and perseverance, one can create a new chapter in life. The business owes its name to my belief that one chooses to make life lovely every day.
Your encouragement and purchases over the past four years have made me sure I am on the right track, that the world wants to support small business, and to buy unique, old things with character. I will be so grateful for your help now.
