This is not what I wanted post but as we are nearing the final days of Ems fight of her life , we want to make sure we can do anything we can to ease the stress of all the funeral costs that will come in the coming weeks for her family and to organise the costs of the house for Maddi. If anyone can help out with a donation or a share, anything would be amazing.

Hey everybody, 

In October 2020, Emily was diagnosed with a rare tumour in her spine. The operation to remove it left 2% in as they couldn’t get it. The doctors made a plan and decided radiation would be the way to go.

On the 9th of January 2021, Emily was taken to the hospital due to be extremely unwell and vomiting. On Sunday she left the hospital only to return at dinner time that night. This time with her symptoms worse. Which has resulted her being in the ICU.

After numerous tests and a surgery to put a drain into her brain, Emily was diagnosed with cancer. The cancer has spread through her spinal cord and into her brain, with her tumour growing back and an additional one near it. The cancer she was diagnosed with is a melanotic schwannoma, which only 100 other people had. 

The money that is being raised is going to be put towards stem cell research by Maddi Sergienko-Jarvis who is one of Emily’s roommates and beloved friends who will furthermore be donating the money raised on my behalf. Due to the rareness of this tumour the research may not work but it is worth a try.

Emily appreciates all the love and support she is receiving but needs time to spend with her family and close loved ones. Please be respectful and try not to message her just yet.
