My name is Emily, I am 19 years old, and I am reaching out for help during one of the most challenging times of my life. Recently, I began experiencing fainting episodes that forced me to stop going to work and school. Coming from a low-income family, I have always tried to make ends meet, but things became even more difficult when I suffered third-degree burns on the left side of my body while trying to put out a fire in my house. The burns are severe enough that I now need skin grafting surgery, and to make matters worse, I lost my Medicaid coverage just as my medical needs increased.
On the same day as the fire, I was also involved in a car accident, which has left me with repairs and insurance issues to handle, not just for myself but for the other person involved as well. All of these challenges have taken a toll on my mental health, and I was just discharged from the mental hospital because of everything going on. I am doing my best to recover and move forward.
The funds raised will go directly toward my medical bills, groceries, car repairs and insurance. I am deeply grateful for any support. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation to help me get back on my feet.
