Our sweet 5-year-old granddaughter Emmy is in Children's Hospital of Wisconsin recovering from Guillain-Barré Syndrome. This is a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the nervous system and causes weakness, pain, and paralysis. Her pain started in her legs, and throughout the course of a few days, pain and paralysis had spread to the rest of her body. Since her diagnosis, the treatments she has received have stopped the progression of the nerve damage, and she is slowly regaining some function in her arms and legs. She will need several months of treatments, including extended hospital stay, physical and occupational therapy, and doctor visits.
Please donate generously to help offset some of the costs associated with caring for our sweet Emmy. Both of her parents, Sarah and Brennan, will be taking time away from work to care for her. Lets get Emmy back to being her happy, vibrant self!
If you would like to donate using Venmo, Sarah and Brennan's joint account is @SarahBrennan-Wilson
