Help My Best Friend Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
Hi, my name is Laura Ulloa, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend, Emily Wooton, whose life has been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Emily’s home was severely flooded, and to make matters worse, all three of their cars were totaled. This disaster has left her and her family facing overwhelming financial and emotional challenges as they try to rebuild their lives.
What makes this even more heartbreaking is that Emily and her family just finished rebuilding their home after it was flooded in 2021. They worked so hard to recover from that disaster, and now they’re starting all over again. They really need to catch a break.
Emily lives with her loving and supportive boyfriend, Jon, and her incredible mother, Stella, who has significant medical needs. They also have two sweet dogs who have been a source of comfort through this tough time. Their dear friend David has been visiting from out of state and has shown incredible kindness and support during this difficult ordeal.
I’ve known Emily since we met at Brevard College in 2004, and she has been such a major part of my life ever since. She’s always been a source of positivity, love, and strength, not just for me but for her friends and her entire community. I wish I could do more to help her and her family through this difficult time. The least I can do is share her story and hope to raise some money to ease their stress and make life manageable as they begin this next chapter of rebuilding.
The damage to their home is extensive, and the cost of repairs, replacing their vehicles, and managing Stella’s medical care is staggering. Insurance will only cover so much, leaving them with a huge financial burden. This is why I’m reaching out to ask for your support.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward rebuilding their home, replacing their vehicles, and ensuring that Stella’s medical needs and the care of their dogs are not disrupted. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this post with others who may be able to help.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support. It means the world to me, and I know it will mean everything to Emily, Jon, Stella, and their whole family as they work to recover from this disaster.
