Help Emily pay for SGB Procedure for C-PTSD
Hello supporters and friends,
My name is Emily, and I have been diagnosed with Complex PTSD, after enduring 20 years of domestic violence in the form of physical and verbal abuse from my Father. It has been a long, long road. I was diagnosed in 2016 and have received various treatments including talk-therapy, EMDR, hypnosis, reiki, alternative healings, and anti-depressants.
I don't like talking about C-PTSD symptoms, but I invariably suffer from a range of symptoms. I keep a strong face, but the symptoms are always there, and they make things in life very, very difficult. At times, it can be incredibly hard for me to go work, or sleep, or maintain friendships.
I became aware that some medical practices are now making SGB (Stellate Ganglion Block) therapy available for patients with C-PTSD, with a 90% success rate at treating all symptoms. This is a one-time anesthetic, with life-long lasting results. The VA has been using SGB to treat PTSD since 2010, with studies to back up the results. Here is a link for more info about SGB for PTSD treatment from the VA: https://www.va.gov/HEALTHPARTNERSHIPS/docs/CCISGBFactSheet.pdf
Unfortunately, insurance providers do not currently offer coverage for using this procedure for PTSD. I have found an SGB provider called Stella (stellacenter.com), that will take cash for treating PTSD. Their clinic in California is based in Encinitas, and I have my next pre-procedure interview on Feb. 24th. I am immensely grateful to have found a provider that is offering treatment for C-PTSD with SGB. It will be a truly amazing feeling to wake up cured from C-PTSD.
I am asking for help paying for the procedure. Both C-PTSD and COVID have had tremendous impact on my income. My current timeline for the procedure is sometime in late Feb-early March.
With your help, my PTSD symptoms can be fully treated forever. And for that, I am beyond grateful. Thank you for your generosity and your help.
