Hello, friends.
Earlier this year, I underwent life-changing surgery for severe, deep-infiltrating endometriosis, a condition that had spread throughout my body, compromising several of my organs. Unfortunately, the NHS would not cover the excision procedure I needed, so I had no choice but to seek specialist private surgery, including a hysterectomy, to protect my long-term health.
I first learned I had endometriosis when doctors discovered a large cyst on one of my ovaries during routine pregnancy scans. Throughout my pregnancy, I was closely monitored due to this and several fibroids. Luckily, my c-section went smoothly and I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Zola ("ZZ"). After recovering from my c-section, I had an MRI scan which showed endometriosis with multiple organ involvement.
While I was able to raise some funds by selling my artwork and spending my savings, the total cost of the surgery far exceeded what I could afford. I had to put a portion of the balance on credit cards, which are now accruing interest every month, making it even harder to recover financially while I heal physically.
Endometriosis is a chronic disease with no known cure, and I will need ongoing scans and monitoring to check for potential regrowth and protect my remaining organs. These follow-up costs add to the financial strain, but they’re essential for maintaining my health and preventing further complications.
I’m humbly asking for help to pay off some of the medical debt from this necessary surgery and to support the continued care I need to stay healthy. Any contribution (no matter how small) will go directly toward reducing this burden and helping me move forward in stability and peace.
So much love to you for reading this. xoxo E
