Help Emily Heal After a Horrific Attack

Hello, my name is Megan Moreno. I’ve created a GoFund me to begin raising funds for a family very close to mine. Jennifer, Emily’s mother is quite literally living every mother’s worst nightmare in this very moment. Over this past weekend, Emily was a victim of domestic violence that lead to her hip being dislocated and fracturing her pelvis. Emily was transported from a local hospital to the closest hospital with a trauma center more fit to care for her injuries. Jennifer has been in the hospital at Emily’s side every moment while family helps care for Emily’s two younger siblings. Emily has a long recovery road ahead of her. Just yesterday, she endured a six-hour long surgery to repair her pelvis. Emily will not be able to walk or live her normal life for the foreseen future. The courts have granted an order of protection and, Jennifer will be taking Emily in under her roof to ensure she receives the best care that Emily so deserves during her road to recovery. Jennifer is a single mother and works multiple shifts to take care of her babies. Right now, she can’t bear the thought of leaving her daughter’s side and is taking a huge financial loss not being able to get to work and be at the hospital to comfort Emily. Funds will be going towards medical bills, food, medical equipment to help Emily shower and use the bathroom safely, transportation to and from rehab, general cost of living while Jennifer takes a step back from work to care for Emily, and any other financial hardships they may endure in this road to recovery.
