Hello! My name is Emily Bruce, and this year I was given the amazing opportunity to travel with BGSU’s Soprano/Alto choir Volaré to Europe! The choir will be traveling alongside BGSU Men’s Chorus to London, Paris, and Cardiff, Wales over the course of 8 days in May following the spring semester. There will be around 3-5 concerts per day, including a few joint concerts between both choruses and some local choirs. We will be also be sightseeing in each city and enjoying the shops and cuisine each one has to offer! There will be a ton of photos and videos posted on all of the Volaré and BGSU social media pages for everyone to follow us along our journey! Many of you know that my older brother, Cody, traveled to Germany while obtaining a culinary degree 6 years ago. This opportunity taught him so much, and he still talks about this trip! I know that traveling while in school would be such a wonderful opportunity for me, and I know I would likely never travel outside of the United States if I don’t move on this opportunity right now. There will be plenty of opportunities for fundraising along the way, but a lot of the cost will still need to be paid out of pocket, and it is difficult to find time to work with 17 credit hours and 3 ensembles (including Volaré) on my plate this semester. I would greatly appreciate if you would be able to help me out! Thank you for reading and supporting me for this trip! :)
