Help Emily Grace Fight for Her Life in ICU
Donation protected

My name is Erin, and I need your support to help my 11-year-old niece, Emily Grace! Emily contracted COVID on January 20, 2025. By January 24, 2025, she was finding it really hard to breathe. Her parents, Patty & Brent, brought her to the local Urgent Care facility, then she was referred to the local hospital. Upon initial intake, they immediately transported her by ambulance to the special Children's Medical Center of San Diego, where she's been in Critical ICU fighting for her life. She developed pneumonia and was suffocating with all the fluid in her lungs. She's been on a ventilator since Sunday, January 26, 2025.
The infection in her lungs was so bad it tore a hole in her lungs. Her lung collapsed, so they had to put in a chest tube to assist with draining the fluid. She currently has a PICC line to help administer all her medications. But so far, there hasn't been any improvement.
Every day that goes by is another day her parents can't work, so they can be by her side, in hopes she will get better and wake up. So far, this journey has been extremely emotional for my sister Patty, her husband Brent, and my other niece, Mary.
There is nothing worse than the feeling as a parent being helpless for their sick child. I'm pleading with you all to help this beautiful family. If you can even donate $5, this is something to help support them.
