Hi, I’m Emily, a mom of three amazing kids—Heidi (16), Bayze (14), and Parker (11). In 2022, I was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma in my kidney, a rare and aggressive cancer that had already spread to my adrenal glands, IVC, and lungs. Since then, life has been a constant cycle of treatments, scans, medication changes, and hospital visits, all while trying to stay present for my children.

Living with advanced cancer affects every part of life. Managing finances has become nearly impossible, especially as my husband travels for work to maintain our family’s health insurance. His absences add extra strain on childcare—Bayze, being autistic, will always need an adult present—and household responsibilities.

Our goal with this fundraiser is to help our family stay afloat for the next few months. Donations will go toward essential expenses, including:

• Mortgage and household bills

• Groceries and daily needs for our kids

• Gas and travel for medical appointments

• Medications and out-of-pocket medical costs

• Giving our family breathing room to focus on time together instead of constant financial stress.

More than anything, I want to spend meaningful time with my children and my husband, making memories despite the challenges of this disease.
