Help Emily Fight Breast Cancer
Donation protected
In mid-June, the amazing and spirited Emily Ulmer was diagnosed with breast cancer. On August 16th, 2022, Emily had a double mastectomy at Huntington/Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Pasadena, California. The prognosis and whether further treatment will be necessary after surgery are still unknown.
Emily, as you may know, is a gifted freelance photographer whose portrait work captures the beauty of life, children, family, and loved ones. She will not be able to return to work for at least two months, especially since her work requires lifting and holding a heavy camera and traveling to clients across the country. Even with medical insurance, there will be untold medical bills, co-pays, and unforeseen future treatments. Additionally, Emily will need help covering living expenses for her and her four-year-old daughter Clementine. That means rent, food, car insurance, health insurance (thank you, Covered California), utilities, and incidentals.
Our goal is to make sure Emily can endure this difficult time without financial strain. We want her to focus on healing and time with her daughter. Her mom is there for her care and support and will manage her funds, so Emily doesn’t have to think about them.
Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated. In addition, please feel free to share this page with all your friends and communities to spread the word. In the meantime, Emily is resting and recovering from her extensive surgery. Please check back for updates on her journey. Thank you for anything you can do to help.
