Help Emily and the Barnes Family After Eaton Fire

My name is Landice Helton and one of my best friends in LA, Emily Barnes, along with her husband Brad and daughter Evelyn (turning 7 at the end of January), lost their Altadena home along with all their belongings in the Eaton fire. Their family was away when the fire started in Altadena, so they only have what was in their suitcases for their trip, and they did not have the opportunity to grab any additional items, including anything sentimental, from their home. Both of the family cars were also destroyed in the fire.

Their family has a long road of recovery ahead of them, and every little bit helps them be able to replace at least the material things they have lost. The money donated will go straight to Emily and her family to use for temporary housing, clothing, transportation, etc., as they begin to rebuild.

I met Emily over 12 years ago when we worked together in NYC, and she has always been there for me throughout the years. When Hurricane Sandy hit NYC just a few short months after I had moved without knowing anyone, Emily, along with her dad, took me in and made sure I was safe and fed while I was unable to stay in my apartment. Emily and her family are hardworking, caring people who have helped others, and now they need our help.

While the Palisades fire got very close to my apartment in Santa Monica, I am extremely lucky that my home was not impacted, so now I want to focus on helping my dear friends. Please help Emily and the Barnes family, any amount helps!
