Dear Friends, Family, and surrounding Sharon Community,

My name is Erica Speight and I am currently a parent of a young daughter who attends Hertz Nursery School in Sharon, MA. I am raising funds for a beloved Hertz Nursery School toddler teacher, Emily Hubbard and her fiancé Cam Gustafson.

In the early morning of Oct 19th, a fire broke out in Emily and Cam's apartment complex, which has caused the couple to be displaced from their home. While we are relieved that Emily and Cam made it out of the fire safely, we are also aware of the great need it will take for this young couple to rebuild.

If you know Emily, you know how kind, empathetic, and generous she is. She has been one of the most loved teachers at Hertz and has had a profound impact on all her students and their families. Children from previous years still ask for her, and it is not uncommon to hear children yelling "Emmy Emmy" in the playground.

Currently, support from their insurance and their complex has been underwhelming, and because Emily is fiercely independent, she would NEVER outwardly ask for help. Because of this, we have decided to fundraise on her and Cam's behalf. Any amount will help them as they begin their journey of rebuilding and returning to some normalcy.
