Help Emilio finish Medical School

Hi, my name is Emilio Fang. I'm a German born Chinese medical school student trying to finish my last years of medical school in Austria. My ultimate goal is to use my training to practically implement the gospel in medicine, and further the cause of the three angel's messages around the world. By donating to this fundraiser, you are adding another light into the world that will help reach the unreached through medical missionary work.

Here's a bit more about me.

I was born in Germany by a Chinese mother and growing up I have always been interested about two things: my faith and medicine. At the age of 15, I gave my life to Christ for the very first time and later during high school did I get baptized.

Instead of going directly to college, I spent a year at Matteson Mission School in Norway, where my relationship with Christ deepened and my passion for service grew. Afterward, I served for a year in Bolivia as a student medical missionary — teaching English, working as a nurse, and helping with agriculture. When the COVID pandemic hit, God protected me in the countryside and showed me miracles of provision in times of trial.

Later, I continued canvassing in the US and had the chance to be involved in a few missionary projects in Colorado Springs. These experiences gave me joy but also opened my eyes to a greater need: people were sick, and there was a need for well trained, compassionate Christian physicians in the medical field. It was then that I knew — God was calling me to become a doctor.

I began medical school in Romania in 2021, where I have studied for four years and gained a strong foundation. But now, a door was opened for me to transfer to the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg in Austria, to continue my training. The university offers a unique and qualitative curriculum with international perspectives including training and preparations for the USMLE licensing exams. This opens doors to work in both Europe and in the United States.

What I am looking for:

The cost of completing my remaining 3 years is significant:

Tuition & administrative fees: €21,500 per year + €3000 → €67,500 total
Living expenses (housing, food, transport): €10,000 per year → €30,000 total

Total goal: €67,500 + €30,000 = €97,500

I am fundraising this month so I can begin the academic year in September with stability and dedicate myself fully to my studies and the Step 1 exam, which is crucial for my future as a physician.
How I see myself involved in missionary work in the future:

My dream is not only to practice medicine, but to serve as a medical missionary, reaching people both physically and spiritually. Whether in a remote frontier mission, or in cities ministering to the educated and wealthy, I want to bring true healing — pointing people to the Greatest Physician, Christ Himself.

I believe that it’s important to witness with one’s lifestyle be it in the working environment or studying environment. I hope to be a good example for my colleagues at the university and to be compassionate and loving to my patients in the hospital. Another vision is to work close together with the church and to be involved in different evangelistic activities related to health and lifestyle. I believe it is important to start early as a medical student in church projects that promote a healthy lifestyle and address the health message in Europe and across the world.

The quote from Ellen G. White has been a constant inspiration and reminder:
“I wish to tell you that soon there will be no work done in ministerial lines but medical missionary work.”
General Conference Bulletin, April 12, 1901 (Twelfth Meeting) Page 204.5

This shows how important it is to be involved in medical missionary work in the end times and that this will be the only way to reach people.
