Hello friends and family,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kamari Massey, daughter of Emilie Arunong and Kizhane Massey. Kizhane and Emilie welcomed baby Kamari into the world on Christmas Eve of 2024. Unfortunately for her earthen family, she was only able to stay for a short while before the Lord called her home on February 9th, 2025.

Kamari was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Campomelic Dysplasia and lived out her life under the care of the best nurses and doctors at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She fought as long as she could before her parents decided to make the incredibly difficult and selfless decision to free her from her pain and suffering and remove her from life support. She was baptized and passed on to be with her creator and heavenly family in the presence of those who had the privilege of loving her here on earth. Our hearts are of course heavy and broken, but we rejoice knowing that she is now free of pain and in the company of those that passed before her, including her grandfathers on both sides, her maternal grandmother, and many more. She is our Guardian Angel and will forever be in our hearts.

At this time, we are raising funds to cover funeral expenses, medical bills, and grief support as the parents take some time to grieve their loss. While I, Kamari’s auntie, am arranging this GoFundMe, the funds raised will be connected to the bank account of Emilie Arunong and will go directly to her.
