Help Emilia Get to New York Fashion Week !

Hi, my name is Emily Ramirez, but I go by Emilia—a name that has carried my creative identity since I was young. I was raised in a single-parent household in a low-income community, and while my journey hasn’t been easy, it’s made me resilient, resourceful, and proud of my roots.

Creativity has always lived inside me. Over the past five years, I’ve poured my energy into building a path as a multidisciplinary artist, working in videography, photography, creative direction, and content creation—often in collaboration with small creators and artists in Sacramento.

I currently work as a dance teacher for youth through an after-school program led by a local community-based company. It’s a role that keeps me connected to my love for movement, creativity, and mentorship—while also giving back to the next generation in my community.

Professionally, I also work in member services at InstaPhysique, a health and wellness Lagree fitness studio here in Sacramento. It’s a role that allows me to represent a brand I care deeply about and provide an elevated experience for clients in a space focused on strength, health, and personal growth.

Since the age of 18, I’ve been a mentor for youth, and my community work began even earlier—through my involvement with multiple organizations like Brown Issues and others, where I’ve been part of uplifting and empowering youth of color in Sacramento.

Now, after years of hard work and dedication, I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to attend New York Fashion Week as a content creator for the House of Nova fashion show, along with other exciting industry events.

This opportunity came up unexpectedly, and I’m not financially prepared to take it on alone. That’s why I’m reaching out.

With your support, I’ll be able to cover the costs of travel, lodging, and essentials needed for this trip. More than anything, you’ll be helping someone who has never stopped believing in her dream—even when it felt out of reach—take a life-changing step toward her future.

You’ll be supporting a proud, multicultural, creative Chicana from Sacramento, ready to show the world that dreams rooted in community, creativity, and resilience are worth believing in.

Hola, mi nombre es Emily Ramirez, pero me conocen como Emilia, un nombre que ha representado mi identidad creativa desde que era niña. Fui criada por una madre soltera en una comunidad de bajos ingresos, y aunque mi camino no ha sido fácil, me ha convertido en una persona fuerte, ingeniosa y profundamente orgullosa de sus raíces.

La creatividad siempre ha vivido dentro de mí. Durante los últimos cinco años, he dedicado mi energía a construir un camino como artista multidisciplinaria, trabajando en videografía, fotografía, dirección creativa y creación de contenido, muchas veces en colaboración con creadores y artistas locales en Sacramento.

Actualmente, trabajo como maestra de danza para jóvenes en un programa extracurricular dirigido por una organización comunitaria local. Este trabajo me permite mantenerme conectada con mi amor por el movimiento, la creatividad y la mentoría, mientras apoyo a la nueva generación de mi comunidad.

Profesionalmente, también trabajo en el área de servicio a miembros en InstaPhysique, un estudio de salud y bienestar especializado en Lagree aquí en Sacramento. Es un rol que me permite representar una marca en la que creo profundamente y brindar una experiencia de calidad a los clientes en un espacio enfocado en la fuerza, la salud y el crecimiento personal.

Desde los 18 años he sido mentora de jóvenes, y mi trabajo comunitario comenzó mucho antes—gracias a mi participación en organizaciones como Brown Issues, entre otras, donde he tenido el privilegio de ser parte del trabajo de empoderamiento de la juventud de color en Sacramento.

Ahora, después de años de esfuerzo y dedicación, se me ha presentado una increíble oportunidad: asistir a la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York como creadora de contenido para el desfile de moda de House of Nova, además de participar en otros eventos importantes de la industria.

Esta oportunidad llegó de manera inesperada, y no estoy preparada financieramente para asumirla sola. Por eso, recurro a ustedes.

Con tu apoyo, podré cubrir los gastos de viaje, alojamiento y otros elementos esenciales para este viaje. Más que nada, estarás ayudando a alguien que nunca ha dejado de creer en su sueño—aunque a veces se sintiera inalcanzable—a dar un paso transformador hacia su futuro.
