Dear friends, you can help Emil defeat brain cancer. On June 20, 2019, Emil was diagnosed with a large tumor in the brain (4.7 x 4.3 x 4.5 cm - approximate size of an egg). The suspicion of the doctors was confirmed and he was diagnosed with medulloblastoma with metastases in the spine. At the moment, this type of disease occurs in 2 in 1 million. Thus, Emil became one of the few people in Moldova who are diagnosed with this type of central nervous system tumor. Due to the complexity of the diagnosis, it requires a very complex and expensive treatment, which unfortunately simply does not exist in Moldova. Just over 6 years ago, on April 4, 2013, in Chisinau, a wonderful boy was born in the family of Serghei and Galina Mihailov. They named him Emil. From the very beginning, his life was put to the test. After the birth, the doctor proudly told us: “Your baby was close to death, but it looks like God decided to give him a chance ... He had a double cord entanglement around his neck and tight cord knot. Usually, such children do not survive, but not him... ” Another challenge for little Emil, was that he had a curvature of both feet after birth. Many have already predicted him a wheelchair, but God is rich in His grace, a wonderful doctor and the tireless work of parents gave the child the opportunity to walk. His first year of life, Emil spent in a cast, going through a lot of complex procedures and a surgery. And two years later, Emil, despite everything, stood firmly on his feet and ran. Despite these challenges, together with the parents and sisters, Emil from the very first year of his life was a part of a team that served families who fight cancer. And now Emil is facing a new big challenge in his life, which turned out to be much more difficult and dangerous than all the previous ones... But he endures that with patience and perseverance.
Emil loves to design cities from Lego, he plays the piano, loves to discover insects and flowers. He can't wait to go to school.
Treatment
To help Emil defeat this disease we need to collect $ 52,700
Treatment of tumors of the central nervous system requires an integrated approach, which includes both neurosurgical intervention of particular complexity, as well as radiation therapy and polychemotherapy.
At this stage, Emil will have to go through a hard surgery to remove the tumor, and then, as his body recovers after surgery, he will go through a complex of radio and chemotherapies. And if he survives all these procedures, he will need to go through a long process of rehabilitation.

Свой первый год жизни, Эмиль мальчик провел в гипсе, проходя немало сложных процедур и операцию. И спустя два года Эмиль вопреки всему твердо стоял на ножках и бегал. Несмотря на все эти временные сложности, Эмиль вместе с родителями и сестрами с первых лет жизни был часть особенного служения детям больным раковыми заболеваниями. De obicei, astfel de copii nu supraviețuiesc, dar el... da.” O altă provocare pentru micuțul Emil a apărut din cauza picioarelor foarte curbate în interior. Mulți îi prevedeau că va umbla în cărucior, dar Dumnezeu în harul său bogat, un doctor minunat și munca asiduă a părinților i-au dat posibilitatea să umble. Emil și-a petrecut primul an de viață cu picioarele în ghips și trecând printr-un set complet de proceduri și o operație. Doi ani mai târziu, în ciuda tuturor acestor piedici, Emil stătea pe picioarele lui și fugea. În ciuda acestor provocări, împreună cu părinții și cu surorile sale, Emil a făcut parte dintr-o echipă care slujea familiile în lupta lor cu cancerul. Diagnosticul
Meduloblastomul – este o tumoare maligna a cerebelului și cea mai frecventă tumoare maligna întâlnită la copii împreună cu metastaze și în lichidul cefalorahidian. Meduloblastomul se dezvoltă inițial la nivelul cerebelului, partea din creier care se ocupă de menținerea echilibrului, coordonarea mișcărilor și alte funcții complexe. Meduloblastomul este cea mai frecventă neoplasmă malignă a creierului la copii, variind de la 15% la 25% din toate tumorile primare la copii și aproximativ 70% din toate cazurile sunt diagnosticate la copii sub 15 ani.
