Help Emiko rebuilt her life (えみこさん を たすけよう！！）

2000年前後にBurringbarに住む、えみこさんに大変お世話になった、宮尾匡です。

 

今年2月末にオーストラリアNSW北部を衝撃的な大雨が襲ったことをみなさんご存知でしょうか。この災害によって、オーストラリアのお母さん的存在である、えみこさんも多大な被害を受けました。

 

2022年2月28日、凄まじい大雨が連日降り続いた、この日。えみこさんの家が建つ山が地滑りを起こしました。10トンもの泥や岩が彼女の家になだれ込み、この日から3日間ものあいだ、えみこさんは1人きりで電気、ガス、水、電話、インターネットが何もない孤独な中に閉じ込められてしまっていたんです。

 

しかし、友人の助けにより、えみこさんは奇跡的に怪我もなく助けられました！！

 

ですが、彼女の大切な仕事場である台所は跡形もなく無くなってしまいました。しかも、そこは2年前に新しくしたばかりでした。

 

約3年前から続くコロナ被害。多くの人が経済的・精神的困難に直面していると思います。えみこさんもコロナによりマーケットでの仕事が出来ず、保険を数ヶ月前に解約したところに、この土砂災害が襲ったとのことでした。

 

みなさんも日々大変だということを理解してます。なので、これを書くことに心苦しさがあるのも事実です。ですが、少しでもえみこさんへ支援ができればと考え、この募金活動を提案させてもらいました。

 

いつも明るく強く逞しいえみこさんですが、彼女は今、1人では立ち向かえない困難に直面しています。

 

みなさんの協力でえみこさんがまた明るく元気にマーケットでの仕事ができるようにサポートしませんか？

<Fund Raising for Ms. Emiko>

My name is Tadasu Miyao. Around the year 2000, I was taken very good care of by a lady named Ms. Emiko who  lives in  Burringbar. 

As you may know, at the end of February 2022, the north of NSW (Australia) was impacted by severe rainfalls. Due to this disaster, Ms. Emiko who is like a mother figure to me in Australia suffered huge losses.

On the 28th of February, 2022, after severe rains had continued for several days, a landslide occurred on the mountain on which Ms. Emiko’s house stood. Over 10 tons of mud and rubble flowed into Ms. Emiko’s house. For three days she was stranded completely alone without electricity, gas, water, telephone or internet. 

However due to the help of a friend, Ms. Emiko was miraculously saved and free from injury!!

In saying that, her workplace (being her beloved kitchen) was completely destroyed beyond recognition. Not to mention she had only just renovated it two years ago.

I’m sure many of you have been impacted by COVID which has continued for nearly 3 years now, both financially and emotionally. Due to COVID Ms. Emiko too could  no longer work at the markets. Thus she was forced to cancel her insurance only a few months ago. Now on top of all of this, is the damages from the landslide. 

I understand everyone has their own issues they are dealing with and so it pains me to write this. But I want to be able to support Ms. Emiko in some way or form and so I have decided to start this fund raising. 

Although Ms. Emiko is always cheerful and strong, there are difficulties which even she can not face alone, this being one of them.

With your support we can help Ms. Emiko get back on her feet and return to her happy days of working at the market.
