Help Emery and Family Through ICU Stay

Hi, my name is Valerie. I am the mom to 6-year-old Emery who has Rett syndrome. Emery often gets respiratory viruses, causing her to be airlifted to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. We are currently in the ICU, day 5, on a ventilator. We were hoping for a quicker stay than normal, but it looks like we may even be here longer than usual. Our family has already been struggling financially, but we had been doing everything we could to pull our way back out of it. Due to Emery being hospitalized just 2 weeks after already being sick, it has caused me to have to be off work more than we could afford for me to be off. Any donations to help us get through this time are greatly appreciated. I hate asking for help, but I don’t know what else to do at this point. I have already fell behind $1000 of income due to this hospitalization and the financial stress is just starting to build. I’m extremely greatly for any help we receive.

Day 6 update Emerys lungs continue to get worse at this time tomorrow the will be doing a bronchostomy to explore the lungs to see if they can find any reasons why she was getting better and then started becoming worse she failed her test to see if she can get the tube out massively today as of right now it looks like we will be in the icu through Tuesday Wednesday at the earliest If we start improving
