Hi Everyone! My name is Alexi and I'm fundraising for my 2 (almost 3) year old Golden Retriever, Emerson. Emerson is my partner in crime. Ive raised him since he was just 8 weeks old. He's the friendliest, most loving, sweetest, funniest boy. I take Emerson with me everywhere, he loves going on car rides and is always down for an adventure. About a month ago, I was cleaning Emerson`s paws when I noticed a weird little lump, right near his private area... I took a couple pictures of it, and then took him to a vet because I was concerned. This vet said they hadn't seen something like it before and then recommended trying antibiotics, which we did. I decided to monitor it to see if it got bigger or if went away. For a few weeks, I was soaking it with Epson salt and iodine thinking maybe it was a boil that would go away, but it didn't. I decided to go get a second opinion at a different Vet hospital and they said they recommended taking a small sample of it to send to a lab and see how the results come back. Yesterday, the results came back and they told me they did notice some inflammation, as well as some atypical squamous cells... The doctor recommended doing a culture as well as a biopsy to get a more definitive answer on what this growth is. The initial sample cost about $400, and in order to move forward with the culture and biopsy, the total is about $800. I just want to make sure my baby boy is okay and can continue to live a happy healthy life. He's only 3 years old so I just want to make sure he is okay and we can get a definitive answer about this lump. Any amount of donation is so so so so appreciated and we would be so grateful!
