Update: 2/25/26

We are so grateful to say Emerie’s follow up with cardiology went great. The treatment for her Kawasaki’s disease worked and no damage was done to her heart! Thank you God! She will continue taking a low dose aspirin for another month and have one more appointment.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for all the donations, prayers, calls, texts, messages, meals, love & support through this experience.

If I can say anything I’ve learned through this situation is to always follow your gut as a parent. Don’t let anyone make you feel crazy. You know your child best and do whatever it takes to get them the care they need.

I am posting this go fund me in order to try and help with the medical costs for my niece, Kirsten’s daughter, Emerie. Emerie has had to go the the emergency room 3 times in the past week for a condition that got progressively worse and finally was diagnosed as Kawasaki Disease which if not treated in time can seriously affect the heart. She is currently receiving treatment and being monitored since Thursday and we are hoping can come home in another day or two. Total recovery can take up to 6-8 weeks. The medical costs will be significant and they are only able to have one income at this time with Patrick’s job. They also have a five month old, Emerie’s younger sister, Ivy.
