Hi there! My name is Emely Aparicio and I am 16 years old from Washington state. In January 2025 I did this crazy thing and auditioned for A Capella Academy, which is a 10 day vocal camp in California, who has a very selective process. Recently I received a reply from them and I’m beyond excited to share with you—I’ve been accepted and earned a spot!! It is a surreal opportunity that I am so excited to participate in as I get to work with other artist in the country who are incredibly talented. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that is not just a dream come true, but this is also my chance to grow as a performer and take my musical talents to the next level.

Music and performance have always been my passion. I’ve spent countless hours working with multiple choirs, participating in dance performances, and being involved in theater productions. I absolutely love being on stage, and my ultimate goal is to one day perform on Broadway. The journey so far has been tough, tiring, amazing, and I’m ready to continue pushing myself to improve every day.

Alongside my artistic classes, I also know how important it is to maintain good grades. As a high schooler, it’s a tough balance—academics are challenging for me, especially since my heart is so focused on the arts, but I’m determined to do my best so I can one day attend a university or college of the arts and continue to develop my skills in both music and theater. This is another reason why attending the academy is so important to me.

The only obstacle standing in my way so far, is the cost of tuition and transportation. My parents are always so supportive of me and want the best, but finances are tough and they don't want me to lose out on this opportunity, so I’m doing everything I can to help myself and them, which is why I need your support. Your donation will help cover my tuition, materials, and transportation while I pursue this incredible opportunity.
