Help W. Scott Vallance Win His Battle With Brain Cancer
On January 26, 2018, our world turned upside down. My wonderful talented husband W. Scott Vallance had a stroke like event, which landed him in ICU at Metropolitan Methodist downtown San Antonio. The MRI led to a biopsy, which caused a pulmonary embolism and many other complications.
I started as soon as possible with several natural cures. My first step was to text our dear friend and natural healer, Rebecca Trois, hours before his biopsy later when the nurse came in to prep Scott for the surgery; the nurse was shocked to discover that Scott was calm and quite. Rebecca and I quickly discovered that every time she prayed for him, Scott would improve if not immediately then within two hours time.
Scott had a breathing tube in ICU rendering him completely powerless, and he’s only responses were to open his eyes – especially for his neurologist and maybe squeeze a finger with his right hand. When the four/five doctors gathered to give me the long face and proclaim their diagnosis of inoperable brain cancer; I simply looked at all of those Drs and said ok fine thank you, because I now knew exactly what I was dealing with. Then I promptly turn and went back to his room and closed the door against their negativity.
His beautiful neurologist came in later to check on us and I told her that we needed to talk clearly and honestly. I explained that Scott and I are quality-of-life people, and I knew of many natural cures for cancer. She listened with total grace and dignity and promptly agreed that quality-of-life is vastly important.
She quickly and profoundly responded that she personally would never accept what the other Drs were try to sell, and she agreed that moving Scott to Colorado for herbal natural remedies was a great idea. After the insurance made a destructive financial decision regarding an early discharge Scott immediately went back into the hospital with seizures, then three days in ICU, and ended back in rehab all while being put on four strong anti-convulsant narcotics including heavy phenobartioal. These petroleum based narcotics and most especially the barbiturate were causing severe and horrific side effects.
The night terrors began in the hospital. Then in rehab, the terrors went ballistic followed by graphic and violent hallucinations. Every day when he was not sleeping he was crying and begging me to help him escape. Finally, the insurance nurse marched in with the new doctor in tow and proceeded to inform me that Scott wasn’t progressing because of the tumor and then they kept looking at me knowingly because he was crying and discussing death.
Once I found out that therapy had come to this same conclusion I called our natural healer and dear friend Rebecca @ [email redacted] across from Enchanted Rock. I very frankly and explicitly explained the situation, and I was quick to tell her that I could not even roll him over in bed to change him. She said I will call you back, and it wasn’t long until this angel of mercy called me back and said come on, you are welcome, wanted, expected, and you will be well cared for.
I immediately informed everyone at rehab to prepare him for discharge by tomorrow morning. The next morning was spent trying to repair my flat tire, but we were up at Trois by 7:00 pm. Charlie Trois, the angel, picked Scott up like a baby and put him in the wheelchair and then the bed. Rebecca introduced us to Tea, the angel, and she and I started trying to take care of Scott.
Scott must have gained about three to five pounds the first week, then after about ten days we came down to the doctor, and thank God they did not want to prescribe those horrible anti-convulsants. I took him home to Trois and started detoxing him by splitting them in half, then quarters, and finally he became clear enough to talk to, and on Scott’s orders, I stopped them all together.
It has been almost six months and Scott is walking with a quad-cane, talking clearly, doing speech, occupational, and physical therapy. He’s mind clears in minute increments, but it is clearing daily. With the natural methods that we have implemented I truly expect a complete and full recovery.
It takes a village for this type of recovery. Our friends have stood by us and have been wonderfully supportive. I now have a light spacious kitchen with morning rainbows from the healing crystals and room for all my appliances including my grinder, my juicer, my Magic Butter Making Machine, my blender, and my food processor. I can now prepare organic nutritious vegan meals. I also have a much-needed big oven for cooking Scott’s natural God-given healing remedies. I have a bathtub where I can soak off my serious aches and pains in hot water. I have a yard where I can watch the squirrels and birds fight for food and my baby girls can go out any time they want. I have a garage for my clutter and Scott’s tools. I have a back room where I can sort and compile clothes, books, projects, equipment, and beloved collection items. I have an office and desk for my computer, and finally but very importantly, I have a fig tree, organic asparagus, and pomegranates just to name a few.
