Dear friends, family, karate community, and everyone who believes in young athletes chasing their dreams,

Emberly has dedicated herself to Wado-ryu karate with incredible passion and discipline. She’s currently a green belt with a black stripe and a proud member of the Northwest Wado-ryu Elite Competition Team—the only Wado-ryu school in the Northwest, and they’ve represented our region so well on national and international stages.

This is Emberly’s second competition season, and she’s already proven herself by competing in multiple tournaments—from regional events all the way to big ones in Las Vegas and Dallas, Texas. She’s faced tough opponents, learned from every experience, and grown so much as a karateka and as a person. Watching her step onto those mats with focus, respect, and determination has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Now, Emberly has earned an amazing opportunity: to compete at the 12th WIKF Global Cup in Athens, Greece—October 20-26, 2026! This is the WIKF World Cup, held in the birthplace of the Olympics, where top Wado-ryu athletes from around the world come together to train, compete, and celebrate the true spirit of karate. It would mean the world for Emberly to represent her team and her dojo.

But as any parent of a competitive athlete knows, these incredible opportunities come with real costs:

• Meals, travel expenses, and any needed gear or uniforms
