Hi there! My name is Ember. I'm a 20-year-old transgender woman hoping to leave the United States. As you may know, the US is becoming more and more dangerous for transgender individuals every day as Republicans rally to strip away our rights. With President Trump and his administration in power, there's hardly anything in the way to stop them.

I've been starting to see posts online about how Republicans in the US are talking about treating transgender people as terrorists, and how they wanna start locking them up the same way ICE has been arresting innocent people.. This obviously terrifies me because I access my HRT through the government (which by the way is now forbidden from supplying me my HRT medication), and I am documented by the government as a transgender individual.

Additionally, I'm losing my health insurance next year on my birthday and I have no idea how I'm supposed to get back on it since I haven't been able to get a job for the past year or more.. On top of that, because of my parent's divorce neither of them can help me get a driver's license, car, or even drive me to any job I could get. (which I've applied to everywhere around me and I've gotten ghosted in some way shape or form by every single one of them)

If you know a little bit about the US, you know that public transportation here is scarce or outright non-existent depending on the area, and where it does exist, it often costs money to utilize which I don't have, or is unsafe or unreliable. In my case, since I live on the outskirts of my nearest town, there's no public transportation available to me, meaning my only way to get around is by car. So even if I somehow managed to get a job, I wouldn't be able to get there.

On top of all this, my transphobic father who I've been essentially forced to live with ever since my mother moved out, is also financially unstable because of the divorce. and oh my god. This place has not been taken care of at all. Everything is filthy, my father and siblings continually make it worse, and I've been unable to pay my psychiatrist or pay my overdue bills either.

Fortunately, I have a few friends who live in Poland, one of which is my absolute best friend, and they've offered to let me stay with them. So not only would I be leaving an awful, failing household, but I'll also be leaving an awful, failing country too. The problem however, is money. Moving overseas is obviously extremely expensive and I can't even BEGIN to hope of doing this on my own... This is why I need your help.

I've created a this fundraiser to help me with the basic cost of living while I figure things out, as well as preparing to move, and then the actual move itself. This is also, obviously a lot, so if you have anything to spare, any amount of money is super super helpful, and if you don't, sharing this around as much as you can will help just as much as donations.
