My name is Emanuele Pica, I am from Rome, Italy.
I live in Los Angeles with my wife and our two adorable kids (Penny is 3 and Giacomo is only 3 months).
I have a dream: to make it as a film director. Over the years, many times it felt like I was getting really close to it, but every time a number of reasons have stopped me from reaching this goal. I have made many short films and corporate videos, entered over fifty international festivals and won several awards, but I still haven't had a chance to make a feature film.
That propelled me and my wife to decide to move to California in 2017. My dream has turned into taking casual jobs, and it's already been 18 months!! I realize that it's now or never. I wrote Jack Claybourne, a thriller short film script; it's when doppelgänger meets Scorsese's The King of Comedy. Set in West Hollywood and Malibu, the main character experiences such a hard time in order to succeed in his goal. With a surprising shift at the end, this script is meant to be useful to sell the feature script.
Help me raise the budget to make Jack Claybourne, and I will put all my energy to make the best short film possible. It will be crucial to sell the script and make the feature film out of it. It would be my dream come true!!
