Emanuel and his family fled Venezuela to search for better opportunities. Emanuel currently lives in Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas awaiting his turn to seek asylum. Emanuel is 8 years old and is in need of a prosthetic leg. Emanuel was born with tibial absence and at the age of 4 his parents made the tough decision of amputating his leg. Due to the lack of health care and job opportunities in Venezuela, Emanuel’s parent have not been able to purchase a prothetic. Emanuel has endured 4 years using a medical crutch to help him walk.
