Help Eman and Her Family Evacuate Gaza

Eman Sulaiman, her husband Mahmoud, and their baby son Kinan are trying to escape the Gaza genocide following the destruction of their home. The money raised is the first step to successfully crossing to Egypt. Here is her story in her own words….

Stand by our side to start a new happy life

“Nothing remained of our home. I couldn’t even find a t-shirt for Kinan, our little kid,” my husband told me.

Last April, after IOF left our area in Khan Younis, my husband managed to get back there to see what happened to our home. Our flat, which was on the 5th floor of an apartment building, had vanished. Our clothes, furniture, my baby’s toys, our wedding memories were completely damaged and burnt. Our flat was crushed into nothing.

My husband and I spent more than two years preparing our flat and bringing in furniture piece by piece. Every corner in it holds our memories — our love, tears, support for each other, and our ups and downs. I couldn’t imagine even in my worst nightmare that someone could destroy my flat without being stopped or convicted of any crime.

Humanitarian world, I am Eman Sulaiman, a previous teacher at UNRWA and mother of a year and half old child. I am a survivor of six wars, and I have been living in the midst of genocide since the 7th October 2023, i don’t know if my family and I will be lucky enough to survive this time. Your support is the only thing that can ensure our survival.

I was living in peace and safety with my lovely husband and our child in our home. I was working as a daily-paid teacher at UNRWA, but suddenly with no warning, within this horrible genocide and unbelievable circumstances, UNRWA expired my contract claiming lack of funding. How horrible it is to go from being a distinguished teacher to being unemployed. From having a peaceful home to being homeless under bombing.

From having everything to having nothing.. worse than nothing.

Can you imagine that my son Kinan is growing up, and I am not even able to buy him clothes, toys, or even have a place to take care of him. He is losing his childhood, and I can’t do anything about it. I always dreamed of creating an enjoyable life for Kinan. I am now hopeless and completely heartbroken. It's really an exhausting responsibility...

I want to guarantee a happy life for my family, like others around the world. I need your support to move my family to safety and begin rebuilding that happy life again.

As a mom, I have a lot of dreams for my son. I want to give him the happiness he deserves. Please stand by my side to move on, to bring me back to life!

The Egyptian border at Rafah requires $7,000 per adult and $2,500 per child to exit Gaza. An additional $2,000 would allow us to afford rent, food, clothes, and healthcare in the short term after arriving in Egypt, while my husband and I secure employment there.

Thank you for your support and standing with the people of Gaza.
