Help Eman and Her Family Escape Gaza and Start Anew

Introduction:

I am reaching out to you today with a plea for help. My name is Nauman, and I am an accountant from Scotland. I am trying to help Eman Ibrahim Khalil Abo Shawish and her family escape the ongoing genocide in Gaza. To ensure their safety and give them a chance to start afresh in Egypt, we need to raise at least £50,000. Here is Eman's story.

Eman's Story:

I came to know Eman through a fellow cyclist and brother several years ago. Me and my wife were sponsoring her nephew through this friend, who was running a grassroots charity in Gaza back then. For a long time, he acted as the middle person until he decided to step back, allowing us to get in direct contact with Eman. This was more than ten years ago.

Since then, we have had the honor and privilege to support her nephew until the recent genocide ensued. Fortunately, he has made it into Egypt earlier on, but unfortunately, Eman is stuck with her daughters and family in Gaza.

Eman's Story in Her Own Words:

"I'm Eman from Gaza. I live in Nusierat camp and have three little daughters. Our life was fine before the seventh of October. I was working as a translator in an association, and my husband was working in a shop. But this war destroyed everything in our lives. It destroyed our little house, our workplaces, and even my daughters' kindergarten was targeted and destroyed. Many of our friends, family, and relatives were martyred in this war.

There is no hope left for us in Gaza. We did all our best to cope with these circumstances. We stayed seven months between tents and staying with relatives, being in a small room and waiting our turn to death. The bombing is everywhere and every single hour. The last invasion in Nusierat by the Israeli military turned our area into a ghost city with mass destruction everywhere.

My brother-in-law lost his life three months ago. He was trying to provide his family with wood to cook on the fire as there is no gas for cooking. He fell down a tree and died. My sister-in-law's son was heavily injured when he was buying some cans in the street to provide some shekels for his family. He lost his ability to talk and almost lost his life.

If you ask about our life, the basic needs are not available. No gas to cook on, no electricity, no internet, no clean water to use or drink, and no healthy food to feed our children except the cans that we rarely get by assistance that comes to Gaza. My children need healthcare and healthy food to grow well, and the most important is safety that I can't even provide for them. They cry every day and night because of starvation, and I haven't found a solution. They need to live like all the children in the world, but they lost everything, even their right to play or have good food.

My eldest daughter, who is only five years old, has trauma and always cries and screams at night, scared of the bombing noises. She has other psychological problems that need urgent intervention. That's why I decided to launch this campaign to help my family and my children have a decent life in Gaza or elsewhere. To save us from this genocide that targets everything in Gaza. I hope that our brothers and sisters in the world who care for us can help. I wish for Gaza to have a decent life without war or starvation.

I'm writing this appeal as the bombing shakes the room and the windows, telling us that our turn may be soon. But if you help us, we can rebuild ourselves again. Help our family to escape from this genocide. Please donate and help us to draw a smile again on the faces of our children. Please keep us in your prayers and donate to return hope to our life."

How the Funds Will Be Used:

The funds will be used to cover the costs of Eman and her family's escape from Gaza to Egypt. Specifically, the money will be spent on securing safe passage out of Gaza, travel expenses, and initial resettlement costs in Egypt. The funds will be sent to her sister in Egypt, who will then ensure they are received by Eman and used for their intended purpose.

How You Can Help:

We need to raise £50,000 to cover the costs of Eman and her family's escape from Gaza to Egypt and to help them start anew. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your support will provide them with the hope and opportunity to rebuild their lives away from the horrors they are currently facing.

Conclusion:

Please consider donating to our cause. Eman and her family, like so many others, deserve to live in safety and peace. Together, we can make a difference and help them find a new beginning. Thank you for your generosity and support.
