Help Elyjah and Dani Through This Crisis

My name is Eric Yates.

My son, Elyjah Yates, suffered a horrible reaction to something completely unknown to me, family, or doctors. On Saturday night around 8:30 pm at work, Elyjah started having trouble breathing (he has had asthma all his life). He was gasping for air, so myself and the staff started trying to give him his inhaler and breathing treatments. Elyjah collapsed in my arms and completely stopped breathing. Luckily, paramedics and fire rescue were already on the way and arrived a few minutes after he stopped breathing. They immediately started working on Elyjah with CPR/rescue efforts. Once we reached the emergency room, Elyjah went into cardiac arrest. I’m unsure how long he was without a heartbeat, but eventually, they brought him back. Since then, he has been stable; however, he is in an induced coma and on a ventilator.

Elyjah is an awesome young man, and I’m not just saying that because I’m his dad; he really is a good dude. Elyjah has a girlfriend named Danielle (Dani). Dani is 8 months pregnant with Elyjah’s baby. She is a hardworking young lady who loves Elyjah truly unconditionally. Dani and Elyjah share an apartment and other bills that are going past due because of Elyjah’s state and Dani being 8 months pregnant and unable to afford to maintain on her own. I am desperately but humbly asking for help. I can’t help because I have been by Elyjah's side in the hospital every day and haven’t been to work myself. We need your help (crying)! Please pray for my son! Please pray for our family and Elyjah’s unborn daughter. I am unsure how much money is needed because this is an ongoing situation as of right now. I am hopeful that Elyjah will come out of the coma and be completely healed; however, we are uncertain. I thank you all in advance for any donations and, most importantly, your continued prayers.
