Elvis, an English bulldog, was found abandoned at an industrial park in Houston, TX on January 12, 2026. For nearly a week, the staff at a local business tried to help him, but Elvis was too scared to let anyone get close. He showed aggression toward anyone who approached, likely out of fear and confusion. As the temperature dropped, the Facebook group 'English Bulldog Rescue Page, Rescue, Rehoming, and Adoption' put out a call for help, and my family and I stepped in to foster him. With patience and gentle care, Elvis slowly began to trust us. After two days, he let his guard down, allowing us to pet him, bring him outside, and even give him a much-needed bath. It was a huge step for a dog who had clearly been through so much.

Once we gained his trust, we took Elvis to the vet for a full exam. He is not microchipped and appears to be middle-aged, between 5 and 7 years old. Unfortunately, Elvis has several health issues that need immediate attention. His teeth and gums show signs of long-term neglect, and he has an ear infection, eye infection, orthopedic concerns, blood in his urine, and possible tumors or lipomas. He is also still intact and will need to be neutered. Due to his anxiety and aggression at the vet, he will need to be sedated for further exams and treatment. We believe Elvis was kept in a kennel for long periods, as he chews at the cage and has significant anxiety when confined.

We are committed to fostering Elvis and giving him the second chance he deserves, but we need help to cover the cost of his medical care. Donations will go directly toward his initial vet exam, testing, treatment for his infections, vaccines, heartworm, and flea-tick prevention.
