Hi. My name is Brigette and as you all know, NY was hit by hurricane Ida and has affected many families including my own. My brother, his wife and two children were watching tv when their door swings open and water starts pouring into their home. He quickly grabbed the kids and was able to carry them over to his neighbors house up the street. As he's describing what happened, he says it felt like a movie because it was so unreal. He never in a million years would’ve thought this could happen to them. Unfortunately, they lost everything and in need of help. I know that many other families are experiencing similar situations and as devastated as my brother is, but any contributions will be greatly appreciated!
