Hey everyone!

This is Elvis. He is an 8 year old lab/pittie mix we foster failed at 10 weeks old. He was found in a box on a doorstep. Over the course of his 8 years he has battled so many medical issues including discospondylitis. My husband and I have always managed to pay our own way for him and the other dogs we have rescued. We both work but Elvis will need 12 weeks of constant monitored recovery so one of us would have to take time off. Which it would be me since I run my own business.

Elvis has really done it this time though and needs bilateral cruciate ligament surgery. He needs it sooner than we could save for it. I hate to see him in pain, so I am setting my pride aside to ask for help in raising the money for the surgery.

With the surgery he could live 5-8 more years as a brand new dog with his bionic knees! I would love for his last years to finally be pain free. His pain has always been managed through medicine and he was a happy dog. Now though, it is hard for him to stand and even walk.

I know the economy is hard for everyone, so I ask please, if you can not donate, share his story in the hope it reaches someone who can.
