As you may know, I’m a Twitch streamer who had to go on an extended hiatus due to becoming homeless at the end of 2024.

I am in college, studying sound engineering & absolutely love it!

But unfortunately, due to my unreliable housing situation, and long hours of travel, I have been unable to find a suitable job to do whilst studying.

Now that I’m on summer break, I’ve been applying to full time jobs with no luck- which makes no sense, because I have years of experience in customer service, and even supervisory experience! But hey- that’s Ireland for you right now.

The government here are supposed to help you if you are unemployed, and give you a small weekly payment to keep yourself on your feet - I have applied for this, but there have been several mishaps and I’m reaching a point of complete stress.

Firstly, my letter issued by my college miscommunicated my “end date” and thus my first application was declined, then I reapplied using a paper form, and my proper end date, and the workers who deal with it lost my form… I then reapplied again and was told it has been attached to my previously declined file (I’m still waiting on information as to why)

I applied for emergency financial help and I was declined on the basis of being a student.

I have visited the office around 5 times, and emailed them numerous times, and I can’t see a resolve on the horizon… so this is my last resort.

I hate having to e-beg for money, but as you know, without streaming, I have no income. I can’t get a job despite experience & trying, & the welfare payments seem like they are never going to happen.

As you guys know, I plan one holiday a year, to Germany.

My friends and I have our flights, trains, tickets for festival booked, as well as a deposit for our Airbnb.

The due date for the Airbnbs final payment is creeping up.. and I have 0 funds for it.

If I can’t get the funds soon, the Airbnb will be cancelled & not only will that fuck me, it’s gonna fuck up my friends too.
