Help Elspeth Pay For Vocal Surgery

Hey everyone! Elspeth Eastman here. I have been a voice actor since 2012 - you might have heard me as Tristana in League of Legends, Cadence in the Necrodancer series, Kirin in Battle Chef Brigade, Mae Morgan in Observation, and lots of other cool stuff! Maybe you're here from Twitch too, which is always a hoot.

Early 2021, I started having an issue with my vocal range - I noticed a strange hoarseness that only got worse the more I spoke. It was misdiagnosed as acid reflux in March, so I spent another month trying to "fix" it, with no results. I tried letting my voice rest, taking time away from streaming and turning down voice roles, but resting was useless. My voice remained squeaky and frail.

Upon seeing a *fourth* doctor, with a third endoscopy (camera down the nasal passage; I'm a freaking pro at those now!), they found a polyp on my vocal cords that needs to be removed with surgery. Unfortunately, it comes with an incredibly big bill that my insurance will not cover since it's an out-of-state procedure. The total bill is $22,000, and I received THAT fun phone call in the middle of work.

I'm asking for any help with said bill. I have found myself at the end of my own resources since I took so much time off at the beginning of all this, and doctors/travel have not been cheap. It's been exhausting in every sense, but this is the one tiny light at the end of the tunnel. I am endlessly grateful to the voiceover/Twitch community, and to those of you who tune in to watch me do dumb things with my voice while playing games. I've gotta get over this last massive hurdle before I can speak again, and with your help, we will return to the mic, full speed ahead!
