My name is Elpidio, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing a difficult time after a recent medical emergency. My blood pressure spiked to a dangerous level, nearly causing a stroke, and as a result, my vision was severely damaged. Right now, I can’t work or drive, and my doctor says there’s a chance to save some of my vision if I can get the care I need.

With no income, I’m struggling to cover my rent and electric bill, and I don’t have the means to pay for gas to get to my appointments, or for the appointments and medications themselves. Every day is a challenge as I try to manage my health and keep up with basic living expenses while I focus on healing and getting my blood pressure under control.

My family and friends have been incredibly supportive, but I don’t want to put too much strain on the few who are able to help. That’s why I’m turning to the kindness of others.
