Elmer needs our help!
Everyone who dines out in Fort Bragg knows Elmer Fajardo. He’s the quiet hero of the kitchens at Piaci and at The Wharf. For years he’s been standing in front of 700 degree ovens, serving up some of the best food on the north coast, usually laughing and telling jokes all the while.
Elmer recently got some bad news. His son Jannsel was diagnosed in February with lymphoma. He’s now receiving chemotherapy treatments every three weeks near his home in Honduras. Jannsel’s prognosis for recovery is good, but the treatments are costing many thousands of dollars each month.
We’re fortunate to live in such a wonderful place, and fortunate to know Elmer as a friend, co-worker, and member of our Fort Bragg community. Let’s show some appreciation and support for him and his family by helping out with their medical expenses. Please give generously if you are able, and keep Elmer and his son Jannsel in your thoughts.
Thank you!
