Help Elmer Berdon Fight for His Life

Dear Friends,

I, Fely G. Berdon, am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help and prayers for my husband, Elmer Berdon, a kindhearted, God-fearing, and generous man who has been a strong foundation of our family. At just 53 years old, Elmer suffered a heart attack that has caused serious complications with his lungs and kidneys.

On December 20, 2024, Elmer started feeling weak and had trouble breathing. And after an initial check-up and a short stay at our district hospital, his condition worsened, and we had no choice but to transfer him to Chong Hua Hospital. He was admitted to the ICU, where doctors worked tirelessly to stabilize him. Despite their efforts, his condition remains critical, and he requires continuous treatment, including dialysis and further medications.

Our medical bills have already exceeded 1 million pesos, and the daily cost of his treatments is around 250,000 pesos every 10 days which includes medicines, hospital bills and more. This financial burden has deeply affected our family. I am a wage earner supporting our three children: one in college (with tuition fees of 62,000 pesos per semester), one in Grade 12, and one in Grade 9. We also have a small hog-raising business, but no one can manage it due to Elmer’s condition.

We are at a breaking point, and I cannot carry this load alone. We desperately need financial assistance to cover his medical expense, keep our children’s education on track, and save Elmer from this tough situation and allow him to continue the further necessary treatment he needs.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference in Elmer’s fight for recovery as he is our top priority and in helping us sustain our family during this difficult time.
