Hi, my name is Elm and I feel very vulnerable to be asking for help. I'm a widowed, solo parent of four young kids between the ages of 4 and 11. I experienced significant trauma resulting from when my wife of 20 years (my kids' other parent, Kaia) died in October of 2022.

I tried to go back to work as a Registered Midwife and eventually had to go off of work due to an increase of PTSD symptoms. I have been off work since January living off of disability.

My symptoms have only increased and I'm now finding it impossible to parent on my own. My kids will be staying with family and my last chance at healing, functioning, and parenting my four wonderful kids is to enter a program focused on healing from PTSD.

I got into a program in Toronto that feels perfect for me and applied for a loan. The total cost of the program was quoted to me as roughly $33k. I'm hoping to have some help with some of the other costs.

Please help me heal from the tragedy I've experienced. I want to heal, work again, and be a good parent to my kids. They deserve stability after how much they have lost.
