Help Ellyn and Tyler defeat cancer
If you know my soon to be son-in-law, Tyler Jackson, you know what a gentle-hearted soul he is and you know that being a loving father to his daughters Olivia 9, and Remy Jane 2, is what he lives for.
You may not know that last fall, at only 27, Tyler was diagnosed with a rare form of testicular cancer. The surgery went well and his monthly checkups looked great until last week when we were devastated to learn the cancer has spread throughout the lymph nodes. Due to the fast-growing nature of this particular cancer, Tyler will now require extensive surgery followed by one or more rounds of chemotherapy and treatment will need to begin as soon as possible.
Ellyn and Tyler have decided to move up the date of their marriage and will be getting married on Monday, August 23. On Tuesday, instead of a honeymoon, they'll be travelling to Indiana University so Tyler can begin treatment with one of the best specialists in the country for this type of cancer. Tyler will be unable to work for quite a while and Ellyn, an R.N, will be taking a leave of absence from her job to care for him through the toughest of the times ahead.
The medical bills will soon become overwhelming and I'm hoping we can relieve some of the burden and stress this young family will be soon be experiencing. Donations, kind words, and messages of love will all be greatly appreciated as Ellyn and Tyler work together to stay positive and meet these challenging times ahead with love and determination.
