Hi everyone! As some of you know, our 16 year old daughter Elly has been struggling with her physical health the past year, with it becoming more of a crisis situation recently. We have tried every outpatient support possible. She was hospitalized on April 18th due to her brain, gastro organs and nervous system not connecting properly. She lost a significant amount of weight during this time and has a severe protein-calorie malnutrition not due to her or our own doing. She was placed on a NG tube and her vitals are stable for now. I've been staying in the hospital with her for the past 8 days. She was discharged into an intensive family based outpatient program for the next 10 weeks, requiring our direct daily parent involvement. This treatment is 7 days a week, every day for 11 hours and uses all forms of therapy including family based therapy, at Children's Hospital in Aurora CO. Children's Hospital is over an hour away from our home so Elly and I are staying in an Extended Stay Airbnb. Her dad Brett is also in between jobs right now. This extensive medical treatment has caused a financial strain on us. We really need your help with gas, groceries, bills and paying for additional costs relating to her treatment. We both hate having to ask for help. We have a really long road ahead of us and need your financial help. We appreciate anything that you are able to give. We have a very long road ahead and we will be doing anything to support Elly. She is very motivated and is working hard to learn more about her health and what her body needs. Thank you all!!
