Hi friends, family, and kind strangers,

I'm raising funds to support my partner, Ellis, as they prepare for top surgery — a huge and life-affirming step in their journey. While the surgery itself is covered by OHIP (thankfully!), we’ve chosen to go out of province to Montreal for a provider who best meets Ellis’s needs. In Ontario, the wait time would have been around three years, and Ellis deserves to access this care without waiting that long. Instead, we’ve secured a surgery date for June 13, 2025, which is a massive relief, but it comes with some added costs.

We’re aiming to raise at least $1,000 to cover:

If we’re lucky enough to receive anything beyond that, it will go toward covering living expenses while Ellis is off work for 4–6 weeks of recovery. I’m currently an unemployed student (actively job hunting), so our financial situation is a little wobbly at the moment, and any support would make a big difference.
