Help Elliott with his battle with cancer

Donation protected
About two months ago Elliott was playing golf and after swinging a golf club he thought he pulled a muscle. It kept bothering him for awhile and he went to have an ex-ray done and they noticed that he broke a rib but they also noticed some spots across his chest. They suggested an MRI and after that they saw that he has tumors on his spine, hip, and in his lung. He was sent a week later to Memphis to have a biopsy done and they found out that Elliott has a rare form of cancer called Multiple Myloma. The Good news is that it is very treatable. Elliott went to Wake Forest Baptist Cancer Center to have his first consultation which was supposed to be for two hours and then he would come home but after the doctors evaluated him they wanted to admit him immediatly because of the amount of pain that he was in. The Doctors evaluated his pain and spent time making decisons on what kind of treatments to give him. Finally we were at a place where Elliott was given his first Cancer fighting treatments Chemo and Radiation. He recieved his first treatments and shortly after that he started having stomach pains and severe constipation. He had been recieving morphine and other sedative drugs to try and manage his pain which caused his constipation. The Doctors kept giving him treatments to relieve the constipation and nothing seemed to work. One of the treatments they gave him caused him to have a side effect called afib. Nothing was working to clear the constipation and then. The Colon was to backed up and the doctors decided to perform an emergency surgery to remove his colon. It was a scary and unexpected situation that came up. The Doctors where worried about the afib during the surgery. Luckily God was watching down on Elliott as he made it through the surgery. He is currently healing from his surgery and once he the surgeons give the cancer Doctors the okay then he will get back on track with Chemo. This has been a stressful time for everyone that knows and loves Elliott. This is going to be a long road to recover but in the end we know we will get Elliot back where he belongs and what he does best by being a loving father to his three kids and loving wife Harby. This site is designed for anyone that wants to contribute money to help with Elliotts battle with cancer. All of the money and proceeds will go towards Elliotts Medical bills, and his Family living expenses as he plans to be going through treatments and recover for a long while keeping him out of work. We ask that you pray for Elliott, Harby and there three kids to help them through this chapter in there life. Thank you from all of the Hodges Family
