I would like to introduce you to my grandson, Elliott Pate. Son of Andrew Plaisance and Malena Pate. He is no ordinary 9-year-old boy. He doesn’t play baseball, soccer, or football. He prefers things that challenge his mind. He is a 4th grader who is a member of the Beta Club and the 4H Robotics Club. He has held a 4.0 average since 1st grade. At his previous school, he received Top Scholar and Principal’s List awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. Last year, he received the French subject award and ELA subject award in the 2nd grade. Last year, he scored Advanced for every subject for the first standardized test he has taken. He is also a member of the Royal Rangers at church, where he is being taught life skills while spreading his love for Jesus.
Most boys his age are playing towards the Little League World Series or football championship rings. Elliott has been given a chance to attend what would be his World Series. He was nominated by one of his teachers to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM in 2026. This is a true honor for Elliott and an opportunity that he will never forget.
The cost to attend is a bit more than Andrew and Malena can pay, but with the help of friends and family, we can help Elliott get to his World Series. Here is an address to the website if you would like to learn more about this awesome opportunity: NYLFpathways.com
So if you have a little extra you can give, help Elliott get to Texas next summer.
Sincerely,
One Proud Mamaw
Dawn
