I'm reaching out. This Spring in my 77th year I fell and broke my wrist – a cliché “I've fallen and I can't get up” scene. This fall was much more than a broken wrist, it revealed that I am, in fact, a fall risk due to some sort of vertigo. I feel like I've aged ten years in one year as my other disorders (such as MDS, gout, kidney dysfunction and Epstein Barr) leave me exhausted most days requiring regular visits to my oncologist and PCP for blood tests and evaluations.

Some history: After care giving for my mom in the last five years of her life from 2015 – 2020, I had depleted most of my savings. But I inherited my mom's condo in Florida and was grateful for an affordable place to live. My income is fixed at $960 per month in Social Security payments. After expenses each month I am left with $70. I have managed to pay my property taxes each year by renting my condo for a few months to traveling medical workers. But due to my wrist I was unable to drive for weeks. My bones are thin and heal slowly. The ongoing occupational therapy lasted five months.

So, I was unable to drive north to spend time in Massachusetts and thus unable to rent my living space, which in turn means I am unable to pay my property taxes. I am asking for donations to cover my taxes due in November ($1,000) and an extra $500 to cover medical bills not covered by Medicare. Since, my personal code demands an exchange for any donation, I can make this offer: For a $500 donation you can share my two bedroom condo in Florida for one month. A $1,000 donation will afford you a two month's stay and for $1,500 you can spend the entire winter five miles from the Atlantic Ocean (if you don't mind living with an old guy).

This injury did not heal properly and I must undergo corrective surgery soon. And the healing process will again be long. Your loving donations through this crowd funding platform would relieve an enormous pressure and be warmly appreciated.
