Brea’s beloved rescue dog, Ellie, was recently injured by a hit and run, leaving her with a serious hip injury. Ellie, a 7-year-old rescue from Texas, has been a loyal companion to Brea since she adopted her. After the accident, Ellie was rushed to the emergency vet, where she was sedated and treated for a dislocated hip. Unfortunately, her recovery took a turn for the worse when her hip dislocated again, and the muscle tissue began to heal incorrectly. Despite the vet’s efforts to put her hip back in place, it became clear that Ellie would need surgery to have a real chance at healing and returning to her happy, active self.
Brea is a dedicated teacher who had to miss several days of work to care for Ellie, adding to the financial strain of mounting veterinary bills. The cost of Ellie’s emergency care and the upcoming surgery is overwhelming, and Brea is doing everything she can to make sure Ellie gets the treatment she needs. Every contribution will go directly toward covering Ellie’s medical expenses, including surgery, follow-up care, and rehabilitation.
We’re reaching out for support from friends, family, and anyone who understands the bond between a person and their pet. Your help will make a real difference for Brea and Ellie during this difficult time. Thank you for considering a donation to help Ellie get back on her feet.
