Help Ellie stay in treatment

Hi Everyone

Ellie has been struggling with anorexia for over 2 years now. Ellie is non-binary and prefers They/Them pronouns so I will be using these moving forward. 

The goal of $22,500 is roughly equivalent to 3 more months of treatment.

Since the age of 12, Ellie has been at multiple treatment centers for severe anorexia and medication resistant depression. Most of these centers have caused further trauma for them. They have endured multiple hospitalizations as well, adding to their trauma; we spent Christmas of 2022 in the hospital. Last year they did not eat ANYTHING by mouth. They survived via a feeding tube through their nose.

We have finally found a place that they are thriving in and Cigna pulled the plug on insurance after less than 2 months of treatment. We will be paying $250/day out of pocket while Ellie is stepped down to PHP at Avalon Hills in Utah. 

Our monthly bill moving forward is $7500. One donation of $250 covers one more day of treatment. We are looking into as many resources as we can.

We would appreciate any support you can provide at this time. We are adamant that Ellie is not removed from treatment until they are truly ready to do so on their own terms. If they are released before that, we are simply looking at another relapse and another year or more lost to this horrible disease.
