We’re a hardworking family doing everything we can to support our daughter, Ellie Burrows, as she pursues her passion and talent in skateboarding.
We have some incredible news to share: Ellie has officially been selected as one of only four Australian women to represent Australia at the first stop of the World Skate Tour in Rome on June 6, 2025!
This is a rare and potentially life-changing opportunity—the kind of moment we’ve all been working toward. We’re incredibly proud of her, but it comes with a tight timeline and significant costs. With less than three weeks to go, we’re now racing the clock to get everything in place.
As Ellie is a minor, she’s required to travel with a parent. Her coach and guardian, Peter, has been by her side every step of the way, and he’ll be travelling with her to provide the support and guidance she needs on this international stage.
Skate Australia has generously contributed $1,500 toward Ellie’s flights and a single bed in a twin-share room, but we are still left to cover:
The remaining cost of Ellie’s international flights
All of Peter’s flights and accommodation
Essential travel expenses (travel insurance, meals, transport, gear)
The estimated total is around $8,000.
Thanks to the generosity of our early donors, we’ve already been able to cover urgent two-day passport processing fees, ensuring we’re not held up by paperwork delays.
Like many families, we live week to week. We’ve stretched everything we can to support Ellie’s journey so far—but international travel at short notice is simply beyond what we can manage alone.
That’s why we’re asking for help. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to making sure Ellie can proudly represent Australia on the world stage. If you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing this page with your network would mean the world to us.
Thank you for supporting Ellie—and for helping make sure she’s ready when she steps onto the world stage in Rome.
