Help Ellie plan for some special memories

Donation protected

The beginning of 2021 we all started to breathe a sigh of relief, as we had all lost a year to COVID19 and restrictions were finally looking at being lifted.
However, imagine, just as you start to see some hope, you are met with the biggest, most devastating news any person could ever possibly receive.
My niece, Ellie, a beautiful, confident, ambitious, and caring 12-year-old had unknowingly been the host to a cancerous tumour which filled her entire tummy front to back. Diagnosed as Peripheral PNET cancer, she would spend the next year fighting, undergoing aggressive chemotherapy and having to adjust very quickly to hospitals, needles, blood tests, feeding tubes, hair loss, invasive procedures, pain and so much more.

Nobody can truly ever understand just how much something like Cancer does to someone’s soul, nor do they truly understand the incredible emotional impact it has on your entire world as you once knew it. Add into the mix that COVID19 restrictions would very much NOT be easing within hospitals, so take that devastating news, then isolate yourself from your family.

Only one parent at a time, no friends or family to visit, nobody to talk to whilst in hospital, no weekends out because your immune system is at an all time low.
As a parent, your life stops, and for my sister Dawn that has meant becoming a full-time carer, career ambitions are put on one side and priorities had to change over night! My nephew had to watch his sister go through all this, not being able to visit her and be separated from one parent at a time. I am so proud of him and his mature attitude.

Despite this, one of the first things Ellie did following her diagnosis was raise money for a charity, a charity set to empower young women. Such a selfless act never mind needing all the empowerment she could for herself!

Ellie is now in her final stage of Chemotherapy, she has started her Radiotherapy and the end of this journey is in sight.

Ellie, my sister, my nephew and brother-in-law have asked for nothing.... but I am!!! I have set up a go fund me page so Ellie can plan and look forward to something, so she can choose something for herself as all her choice has been taken away from her the past year. Please help me help my family plan to make some special memories together, to do everything they have missed out on, to treat themselves and have some fun! To plan things for their future, to enjoy every second they have with one another and to remove the potential financial worries they could have. Because although she may have fought like a warrior physically, the mental and emotional impact of this awful disease is yet to present itself, and when it does, we need to be ready.
Please, please give what you can and help to my incredible family something to look forward to
